We are doula partners and Crozet neighbors whose mission is to nurture well-being, confidence, and connection for people on their birth journey through skilled support, compassionate presence, and community art.

Moonfire Doulas began when two dear friends sat by a fire on a full moon and discovered they had felt the same calling: to support women in their birth journeys. The universe aligned and Laura and Kelsey moved into homes across the street from each other in the heart of Crozet. From there, inspiration flowed.

As doulas, we are skilled in holding space for the natural unfolding of birth. While we support all informed choices, we specialize in preparing clients for unmedicated birth. We bear witness to your unique journey, and empower each person to be the hero of their own birth story.

Our hope is that every client can say, regardless of the way their birth unfolded, “I felt safe, supported and empowered.”
